Did you notice that the Olympics have ruined regular life again? Noone talks about the fact that the 2014 Winter Olympics is the main reason that Russia fought Georgia this month! In 2007, Sochi was chosen to be the host city for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Sochi just happens to be in far SouthWestern Russia about 20 miles north of Akbhazia, Georgia. Sochi is a medium sized city of about 300,000 citizens and is between the Black sea and the Caucasus Mountians. Akbhazia is a breakaway province from Georgia that has received 160,000 Russian passports for its 200,000 citizens. Akbhazia obviously saw tha chance to make millions off the Olympics and did not see that as a great possibility if it remained as a Georgian province. Russia sees no problem with the province joining the Bear. Akbhazia is the major focus of this fight but Russia used Georgia's perceived attack on South Ossetia to attempt to take both provinces. It is really sad and it is no wonder that the Olympics continue to promote violence and not peace. Continue to visit Fugate 2020 and keep in touch with your comments.

So what's the solution?
Hey Nathan, the solution is to take the Olympics away from the Russians until they sign a strong peace agreement with Georgia and they keep their soldiers out of Akbhazia. That would be my solution.
