Scott Walker is Wisconsin's Next Governor
Governor-elect Scott Walker:
“Wisconsin is Open for Business!”
WAUWATOSA, WISCONSIN - Governor-elect Scott Walker, surrounded by family and friends November 2nd in Pewaukee, thanked supporters for the overwhelming victory in last Tuesday's election, and declared that"Wisconsin is Open for Business.”
“Throughout this campaign, we have told the people of Wisconsin that ‘help is on the way,’ but tonight I’d like to tell the world that Wisconsin is open for business!” said Walker. “Tonette and I are so thankful for the love and support of our family and friends, and most especially the trust and confidence of the voters of Wisconsin who are ready to bring 250,000 jobs to our state.”
“I know right now there are businesses ready to put people back to work, but they’re concerned our state is headed in the wrong direction, and they’re worried about what government might do next. Tonight, we begin the process of recovery as we commit to working together to help employers maintain and grow jobs, rather than make it more expensive for employers and families to make ends meet.”
“I want every worker, every family, and every business, big or small, to know that they have an ally in the governor’s office.”
“Tonight I declare that Wisconsin is open for business!”

Editorial Commentary - Scott Walker's monumental win, especially because it has been accompanied by other major conservative victories, signals a new direction for Wisconsin. No longer are the Democrats in control of both the House and the Assembly; nor do they possess the Governor's Mansion. The people of Wisconsin are tired of the policies of Jim Doyle; namely, the ideas that we can spend our way to prosperity. Not merely, however, are they sick of irrational spending, but they correctly feel that they are TEA: Taxed Enough Already. There has never been a better chance for the Republicans to get the job done and facilitate a business climate conducive to real progress. It's time for citizens and politicians to step up and be objectively involved in a growing movement to reclaim our government. - Contributor Aaron M. Fugate
