City of Plymouth Announcement Regarding Conditions
City of Plymouth Crews Clearing Streets; Urge Patience in Face of Storm Aftermath
Posted Date: 6/22/2013
In the wake of last night’s storm that caused widespread power outages in Plymouth, as well as wind damage, City of Plymouth maintenance crews are working around the clock to re-open roads and keep city operations, such as wells and lift stations, running.
Nearly all roads are expected to be passable by the end of the day. A few areas where power lines are down may take longer.
Last night Xcel Energy reported that as much as 80 percent of Plymouth was without power and that it may take several days to get it restored, according to City Manager Laurie Ahrens.
“Because many of our residents don’t have power, we ask that people check on the well being of their friends and family,” said Ahrens. She also urged patience as the city deals with storm clean up.
Residents with emergencies should call 911 for assistance.
