MBU Demolishes Dayspring, 103-54

WATERTOWN, WI - The Maranatha Baptist University Crusaders achieved their first home victory of the year in their second home contest of the 2014 calendar year. Though the offense started out slowly, the 'Saders started knocking down three-pointers like never before on their way to their 103-54 win. After a 12-3 run to close out the first half, the Crusaders held a 45-25 halftime lead. They only accelerated their stellar play in the second half, as freshman Brady Moses hit three threes in two minutes. Moses would finish with 18 points on the night, and all night the basket was wide like the Red Sea for his shots.
The game was well-called, though very physical. However, the referees were forced to listen to the berating voice of Dayspring's head coach, who had an opinion on nearly every call until midway through the second half, when he essentially gave up. The referees swallowed their whistles on several three-point shots that MBU made. The Eagles were so anxious to contest MBU's threes that they committed several fouls on the shots that were not called until Adam Courtney's 4-point play midway through the second half.
The student section at the game buzzed like a hornet's nest throughout the game and cheered the home squad on to a crushing victory.
