In a Nation such as ours where we have voiced that we are "One Nation Under God." to allow an ordinance to take place in which allows men full access to any female public accommodations such as bathrooms in local businesses, restaurants, and school locker rooms and showers, sounds ridiculous. Why? Because a law being passed that contradicts the already established Ordinance Of which, God created both Male and Female. should not be changed for any reason. Sounding a bit strong and controversial right? Well,it is controversial. Because within this ordinance lies a "safety issue."
Yes! I said a safety issue. Did you know, evidence shows that bathrooms are one of the most prevalent places in which sexual assault and rape occur? creating an ordinance such as this one violates the right to privacy, causing a very high risk of increasing sexual assault.
On March 23, 2016 the General Assembly of the State Legislation of North Carolina held a "special session". A session is which elected officials, including the Governor NC. came together to put to vote on a proposed bill that would rule against the Charlotte Bathroom Ordinance. I sat in on that session. After listening from public comments of both sides, as well as from our own elected officials, over this bill; I as Christian, and as an Individual, NC citizen, am against the very idea that Men should have access to any accommodations that are strictly for the female gender. Because its common sense.and if the common sense makes sense, then seek no other sense. Furthermore it's wrong to change something that has already been established and ordained By God. in order to "comply" with the culture around us. many of you that maybe reading this might agree/disagree with what i have shared. if you don't totally agree, you have that right. But at least i hope i have given some insight to how far away our nation as a whole has drifted further away from the Morals and beliefs of which our founding fathers had. Godly Morals for which they stood and fought for. laws being passed by any groups of individuals, that are harmful to both women and children should not be allowed to ever become in effect. Yes there is freedom of speech, but the right to freedom of speech should not be used loosely. Neither should it be neglected or tossed aside.
