The Treasury plans to start buying the loans and mortgages in a month. Palin and Biden Debate in St. Louis. - Vice Presidential candidates, Sarah Palin and Joseph Biden debated in St. Louis on Thursday. The Alaskan Governor and Delaware Senator fielded questions about taxes, the bailout, the economy, energy, oil, same sex marriage, Iraq, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Palin told the audience that John McCain's plan to lower taxes would create jobs, while Biden stated that McCain could not continue to give tax breaks to oil companies. Palin retorted by stating that she had experience keeping oil companies from monopolizing the market in Alaska. Palin rebuked Biden for referring to the Bush administration almost every time he attacked John McCain. Biden. Later in the debate, Biden recalled his first wife's deadly car crash and said “The notion that, somehow, because I’m a man, I don’t know what it’s like to raise two kids alone, I don’t know what it’s like to have a child you’re not sure is going to make it... I understand as well as, with all due respect, the governor or anybody else, what it’s like for those people sitting around that kitchen table. And guess what? They’re looking for help.” Palin later said “I do respect your years in the [Senate], but I think that Americans are craving something new and different and that new energy and that new commitment that’s going to come with reform... I think that’s why we need to send the maverick from the Senate and put him in the White House, and I’m happy to join him there.” Palin made sure to answer each question in her own way, sometimes even changing the subject to get a major McCain policy across to the American people. Biden attempted to tell the American people that McCain has now new plan for any of the problems in the US. Borrowed From NY Times. Explosion in South Ossetia Revives Tensions. - TBILISI, Georgia — A car exploded outside the Russian military's headquarters in South Ossetia on Friday, killing seven people and wounding three, the government of the Moscow-backed separatist region said. The chief of the Russian military in South Ossetia said the dead were all members of the Russian peacekeeping force based there, Russia's Interfax news agency reported.Russia's Foreign Ministry condemned the "crime" and said it was aimed at undermining efforts to ensure peace and security in South Ossetia and Georgia. However, there was no immediate indication that Russia would abandon its commitment to withdraw peacekeepers from a swath of land surrounding South Ossetia next week. South Ossetia's separatist President Eduard Kokoity called the blast "a targeted terrorist act" and claimed the Georgian security service was behind it, ITAR-Tass reported. But neither he nor other South Ossetian officials provided significant evidence, and Georgia denied involvement. Tensions remain high in Georgia following the August war that erupted when Russia's military repelled a Georgian attack aimed to regain control over South Ossetia and then attacked several Georgian cities in undisputed areas. Borrowed from Fox News. Editorial. - So that's it! We have become the USSR for sure. Twenty years after the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall fell, both have been revived in Washington D.C. on Friday. The US has become the USSR and its socialism makes China look like a capitalist nation. Our socialism makes even Mao cringe. When you write YOUR LETTER TO THE EDITOR answer these questions. Who needs to worry about attacks from Iran and Pakistan when we will be so backwards that no nation will desire to take us out? Who wants to live in a nation who socializes banks and department stores? Who needs a job when the government will keep printing money until everyone has a big house, food on the table, clothes on their back, and loans for every little toy imaginable? The bailout of $700 Billion will force every American to obey the government at every turn because the government has all our hard-earned money. If we even dare to buy an energy hog the government will dangle PORK in front of our eyes and we will quickly buy an 'energy-efficient' machine to get some of OUR money back. Every time the taxes go up, we will look back at George Stalin Bush and wonder why we ever voted for him two straight times. Every time jobs go overseas and we have to go on welfare, we will remember Henry Lenin Paulson and his bailout of banks. Every time Wal Mart and Target raises prices, we will remember Fidel Bernanke and his insatiable desire for more printed bills. Every time we have a need or wish we will just take out a loan that we will never BE FORCED to pay off and we will just quietly use that object while the government continues to reelect itself. This nation has become the communist experinment of the 21st century. The last 20 years of dehumanizing the American people has worked with little error. But what is the solution? There are three actions that every American Christian must do if they plan to live in this nation any longer. First, you need to run for political office, whether it be city council or state senate, every American Christian needs to either support a Christian conservative for office or run for office themselves. When you get in, OBEY the constitution and the bible COMPLETELY. Never compromise controlled capitalism and never give in to the liberals without a fight. Second, you need to save your money, try to save as much money as possible and put it UNDER your mattress. Seriously, every dollar saved by an American is one less in the hands of the government. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. Last but not least, PREACH THE GOSPEL. You need to tell everyone that Jesus Christ is the Savior from sin. He has died for their sins and has rose again so that we will be resurrected if we trust in Him. Christ's finished work makes salvation free and available to each and every one who puts his or her faith and trust in Christ. So let us preach the gospel to each and every person we can and not stop until death. WHEN we do these three things without abandon, we will see the US be saved in more ways than one.
